‘FINAL DESTINATION 6’ Now Boarding

After 13 years a new group of poor unfortunate souls will be heading towards their Final Destination. The sixth time is not the charm but the doom with Final Destination: Bloodlines.

Craig Perry, the producer of the tentpole horror franchise revealed the title of the sixthquel on social media: “After a long, hard slog through the pandemic and the strikes, Day One is finally in the can. 2025 will mark the 25th anniversary of releasing the first installment in the franchise. To honor the occasion with another worldwide theatrical release (in IMAX, no less) is a rare and wonderful thing.”

The Story of Bloodlines

The plot details regarding Final Destination 6 are scarce. Originally the film was said to be about Death going after first responders. However, there has been a creative reset since then. According to rumors the film will follow a young woman named Stefani who has a recurring nightmare about dying in a horrific fire in the 60s, only to realize that it’s a vision of a cruel fate that awaits her family. Her grandmother upset Death by escaping that fate all those years ago. Now Death is Hellbent to make sure the entire bloodline pays with interest.

That plot has yet to be confirmed but given that “Bloodlines” is in the title, I think it would be a safe bet. Whatever the case may be, it will still be a variation of the Final Destination custom where a character fights to make sure a deadly premonition does not come to fruition.

Who Is In Final Destination 6?

There are no official reports surrounding the cast of Final Destination 6, but, we might be close. According to scooper Jinsakuu, Black Adam’s Quintessa Swindell, Star Girl’s Brec Bassinger, Gotham Knights’ Anna Lore, and The 100’s Richard Harman round up the cast.

Last year Bloody Disgusting reported that fan-favorite and horror Icon Tony Todd will be returning for the sixth installment. Given the creative reset mentioned earlier, it is unknown if that remains to be the case.

Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein are directing the feature, Lori Evans Taylor is the scribe, and Guy Busick and Jon Watts are producing along with Dianne McGunigle, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, and Craig Perry.

Final Destination: Bloodlines will be released in theaters in 2025.
